Founded in 1999 by Brian Hollnagel, president and chief executive officer, BCI Aircraft works with major airlines, governments, corporations and others that need to sell, acquire or lease aircraft. BCI Aircraft focuses on transactions with a wide variety of commercial jets, both old and new. Aircraft range from narrow-body Boeing 737s to wide-body Airbus A330 and Boeing 747s. BCI Aircraft is involved in Europe, Russia and South America; BCI Aircraft has also initiated a multi-year awareness campaign for China and Asia. BCI Aircraft subsidiary Genesis Custom Jetliners serves the business jet market. Under the Genesis flag, BCI Aircraft has served some of Europe’s largest airlines as well as British Airways.

BCI Aircraft’s early years
BCI Aircraft was founded on entrepreneurship, strategic leverage, equity and a commitment to shareholders. In part by working with leading carriers and businesses that could offer safely solid returns, BCI Aircraft quickly grew into one of the fastest-expanding commercial aircraft trading organizations in the industry.

Some of BCI Aircraft’s achievements have included buying and placing part of the Delta Airlines fleet and scoring a 15-plane acquisition from US Airways that gained BCI Aircraft major industry notice. BCI Aircraft has grown even in troubled times for the aviation industry, including the period following the Sept. 11 attacks.

BCI Aircraft founder Brian Hollnagel took his first flying lessons at age 15 and earned his multi-engine pilot license in 1992, graduating from Purdue University in 1995 with a degree and education in aviation technology, leasing and finance. BCI Aircraft was born when Brian Hollnagel, only four years out of college, was able to raise $5 million from local investors to buy his first airplanes.
